Testimony
We put the fan in the windows and opened all the windows the day it happened. It still smells. The problem is that it is 14 degrees today and for the last two days. It is really hard to open windows, but I feel that I am going to have to do it. I am washing my curtains and upholestry. Any other suggestions. Cleaners?? Thank you! Karen http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/testimony
Melissa in NC
Try leaving a bowl of vinegar out. It can help clean the air.

JudoMom
I've found that simmering a pot of water with cinnamon, maybe some ground cloves, apple peel/core, and/or orange peel gets rid of the worst smells that linger.
