Bess Posted May 23, 2009 Share Posted May 23, 2009 My child has been on antibiotics for 5 days now (for strep). She is always laying around, has absolutely no energy. We caught the strep early, so I do not believe her lethargy has to do with the strep. She is eating okay... just laying around in between meals. Normal? Sharon H in IL Posted May 23, 2009 Share Posted May 23, 2009 Sometimes antibiotics can cause a secondary yeast infection that wipes you out. Probiotics such as natural yogurt help to balance this out. If it's worse when he eats sugar, that's your clue that it could be yeast-related.
