Catherine
My eldest ds, he of the long locks, had his hair cut off by a friend with clippers recently and is a convert to shorter hair. He wants some clippers so that he can cut it himself. I'll use them on my other two as well. Can anyone recommend a good brand for this purpose? Dh says we should get a "Flobee" and believe it or not, Amazon.com has them for $85! I dissolved in giggles imagining using it.
dcsabd
My 10 and 12 yr old sons cut their own hair and then I just have to trim them up. Cora
6saints
My dad has used the Flobee with much success for many years. When he gets a new one, they use the old one on the dogs! I, on the other hand, think you can't go wrong with Wahl. Our's burned out about 2 years ago in the middle of my husband's haircut! I ran out to the drug store and bought a Clairol trimmer. It was a waste of money, but now I am stuck with it. You can buy Wahl at Walmart.
yslek
Dh is in the Navy and has me cut his hair. We've tried many brands, but Wahl has been the only one that was worth anything. It works really well, and, unlike other kits, all of the accessories are actually useful.
BlessedMom
Wahl has always been my favorite.

kalanamak
I also have a Wahl set. No complaints. All you Wahl users: does it matter which set? Are all the guides interchangeable? As usual, Amazon has a bevy of choices.... Pro Colorguide Pro Home kit etc.... I'm looking to do pretty long buzz cuts on a cooperative child. I'm good with my hands, and, at least with scissors, cut hundreds of heads of hair in school for various starving students.
