DD started GSWL in third grade and Latin for Children in fourth (her current grade). She is a word girl so she is enjoying Latin. I'm glad we started when we did.

AAR has been perfect for my youngest daughter. She needs lots of repetition and practice and AAR provides both. On the other hand, my oldest daughter learned to read easily and needed very little instruction. AAR would have driven her crazy.

We used Latin for Children for a few months before adding Spanish for Children. My dd9 doesn't confuse the two.

I'm thinking about giving my nine year old, science loving daughter a Thames and Kosmos Physics Workshop or a Snap Circuits Lights Physics Kit.

For our first two years we only used the books, but we have discovered that the cds are handy for doing our history lesson while in the car, folding the laundry, etc.

I'm thinking of buying Note Taking Made Easy to use with DD9. Has anyone used this? Was it helpful? We use Rod and Staff Grammar (currently 4th grade). Does Rod and Staff cover note taking sufficiently or will I want to supplement? Thanks!
