  1. I caught Rosie!!! But 72 cookies are now missing....

  2. Oh my. Does she want a DNA sample as well? :svengo:
  3. :svengo: Wow. On both counts. I know I've heard weirder things than this, but it's recent, so here we go. I went to Tim Horton's DRIVE THROUGH and ordered coffee for Impish and myself. After she told me the amount, she asked, "would you like this to go?" :001_huh: Uhh, hey now, what a great idea! :w00t:
  4. Now I'm harassing your FB page mwahahaha... hope all is well! xx

  5. Ibby, I'm getting worried about you... where are you???

  6. I posted this on Facebook and just wanted to share here: I'm so proud of my boy. Not only has he been saying "no" lately (and meaning it) he's been asking why appropriately. "The computer is off right now, ds." "But why, mommy?" or "how come?" It's just so typical! I love it! I've had to wait 10 YEARS for what others experience by age 2, but the joy is multiplied by 1,000! Autism, here's a message for you: kiss my a$$!!!! Then I followed up with this: Autism will NOT steal my joy. It enhances it when I see even minute progress. Autism will NOT steal my dreams. It elevates them to a grander scale to include miracles and a whole new mindset. Autism will NOT define my boy. It allows us to see the depth and vastness of his character, and even allows us to think outside the box. Autism is NOT always a bad thing... it's all good in his world and he's happy there. That's what matters to me. Just wanted to share a happy day with you all. :D
  7. Ours is 11 mths old, seen here. She's a great dog, she does bark a bit, but not more than other dogs IMO. We have a very laid back lab (registered guide dog for my son) and they get along great. We did have some alpha issues with her, but a good training collar and 4 good corrections later, she's awesome. I would not trust her off-leash, but I have tethored her to the lab at a camp and she did great! It gave them lots of freedom and I could trust the lab's recall so Autumn couldn't take off. :tongue_smilie: Beagles are super kid-dogs, and super affectionate.
  8. Do you have a fireplace? I'd be sealing that off. BTDT. :glare:
  9. Rubbing alcohol works great too! It will even get permanent Sharpie off. ;)
  10. umm... yes please? I'm just too dense for this one!
  11. Thank you everyone, I will try the banana peel and duck tape along with the pumice. Everyone is so helpful! Thank you! No offence, but I don't think this dr. knows what he's talking about. Many doctors refuse to give credit to anything that has not had laboratory tests to approve/disprove things, or funding to do such or that has acquired FDA approval, but that doesn't really mean jack and doesn't negate the effectiveness of so many natural methods. It's just a level of ignorance I've seen in (many) doctors and I see that as a red flag. I'm not going to get into everything this doctor said, but Plantar warts do have a black core or root, it is not a myth. You can see it and pull it out if you're brave enough. I don't know why he'd go on and on about things he obviously doesn't know about. Once again a medical practitioner has proven that we are in charge of our medical knowledge and we cannot rely on them. :glare: I do believe he's right that they're in a league of their own, and they are tough to get rid of, but that's about it. ;)
  12. Wow. Thank you for mentioning this Mrs. Mungo. I'm going to try to find that. We'll be watching The Boy in the Striped Pajamas soon, so this documentary will tie in nicely. I had never heard of it before. Thank you!
  13. My boy has 2 plantar warts on his foot, one which the dr. said looks very deep. We cannot use creams/gels on him because he's always eating his feet. :tongue_smilie: They're giving us a month to try to get rid of them before we go in to freeze them off. He said it will be painful. My boy has severe autism and will not tolerate this well at all. So we're going to try to rub them off with a pumice stone after a long soak in the bath. Is there any other trick anyone knows off? Any natural oils or anything that could help?
  14. My boy has severe (classic) autism and my MIL has claimed it's because I put him in an infant swing. :glare: I've also been told by several fellow Christians that I simply didn't have enough faith. :glare: That last one is terribly crushing and so disgustingly arrogant and hurtful I can't even wrap my head around it.
  15. My question to you is, do you love it? If you love it, keep it. If you don't, say goodbye. ;)
  16. ROFL!!! Someone lives in the mountains? Paints mountains? Has mountains of laundry? Oh boy, that's a hard one for me!
  17. *sigh* Just looked on their website and they don't sell it in Canada. :crying: ETA: I spoke too soon!!!! I didn't see the little CANADA link at the bottom of their page! YAHOO! I will try to track this stuff down. Thank you!!!!
  18. Tried both. Baking soda does work on the surface of the enamel, but not in the deep grooves and scratches where it's most hideous. It's just blech! Yucky brown blech!
  19. 4wildberrys stole 7 cookies from the cookie jar!

Rules of the game: if you find this (anyone except the cookie thief themselves) then post here to say "I caught the cookie thief! BUT... someone else took two cookies from the cookie jar!" That way we know this player has been caught and we'll look on another profile. Next, copy this entire post and paste it onto someone else's profile (player must have more than 100 posts and must have been active in the last month.) Lastly, change the type in red so that the numbers each increase by one. It will be easier to track that way. Please post your findings in the thread entitled SOMEONE STOLE A COOKIE! Forum Game. Have Fun!

  20. oooo nooooo.... here's hoping the computer fairy will fully restore your baby soon!!! OK so someone stole 7 cookies, who could it be? I'll tell ya this she's not tame but fruity!
  21. Thank you Susan. I've tried all of those things, except for the refinishing. Yikes. Jules, that last solution is what I was afraid of hearing. Ugh. No time nor funds for that. The thing that irks me is that we had a house sitter last summer. Her dad came over and used "some chemical" and got my sink sparkling clean. I've asked the dd and the wife if they would find out the name of it, and they get back with "he won't tell his secret." :glare: Gee, thanks. :banghead: I'm hoping someone here knows that secret! :D
  22. Our white acrylic sink has deep scars along the bottom, cutting through the enamel. Previous owners did not treat it well. The dark stains are disgusting, nothing I have works, and my OCD in-laws will be here (for the first time ever) next week! HAAALP!!!!
