  1. how did you find it? I looked and I couldn't find it on Amazon or BB&B.
  2. My daughter is getting married on Dec 31 this year. We have been receiving gifts from people who are buying directly from their online registries and have now received 3 items (so far) with no identifying information about who they have come from. What do we do? The kids won't be able to write thank yous and the giver might be looking for a thank you and not understand why they didn't get one. The gifts have come from Amazon and Bed, Bath and Beyond. Has this happened to anybody else here? What do we do?
  3. Who has used homemade dishwasher detergent successfully? (or I guess unsuccessfully too)? does it work in your dishwasher, with the kind of water you have? What is your favorite recipe? I am just curious if this would be a good idea to try. Thoughts please.
  4. So, I could add this to my question.... do you initiate the contact or do you wait for them to contact you?
  5. But how often? Daily? Weekly?
  6. For those of you who have college kids who go to school far enough away that you only see them at breaks... how often do you connect with them via text, email, phone or other social media ? I am just trying to see what others do. Is it different with guys vs girls? Does the year in school make a difference? Thanks.
  7. yeah, Monk would be a good one to try....and where is All Creatures found?
  8. I wanted to try Call the Midwives, but it's not on Hulu and it cost on Prime. we stopped Netflix a while back.
  9. so where did you find Pushing daisies? I been wanting to watch that one.
  10. thank you to all of you for responding and your ideas. I greatly appreciate it.
  11. I have a recipe that I really like...it's a cheese spread for sandwiches. It is mostly velveeta cheese with some other ingredients....like spices, mayo and boiled eggs....but I didn't want to use velveeta as I know it's not the healthiest in the world.....so I was thinking I could use cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese, but I wasn't sure. Might that work?...or do you guys have another thought for me? I don't make this very often, but I do like it....and had a craving for it. So maybe the "unhealthy" part isn't the biggest deal in the world...but I think if I found a healthier version, I might make it more often. Thanks for your thoughts and ideas on this.
  12. I found it cheaper on Amazon....and this is very nice....still out of my budget...but it's very nice.....
  13. thank you for the trial run and for the dimensions. I greatly appreciate it. does the fabric in your buckle at all. A couple of the reviews mentioned that the puzzle won't lay flat because the fabric gets bunched up and "bubbly".
  14. what is the size of the closed up board. Maybe the size would be small enough for me to move it from room to room....and how thick is it when it's all closed up?
  15. awesome! Thanks. I hope it doesn't ruin whatever puzzle you are working on.
  16. the ads just show it's possible....and so that is why I am asking....moving my boards to another room when company comes is making me want to have another option
  17. I use foam core board now...but not with felt on top. However, our couch sits pretty low and one thickness might work under the couch...but not mulitple...but again...maybe the felt would help with keeping pieces in place....as we have "lost" many pieces under our couch when trying this. Plus, my biggest board is too big for under the couch...although I could probably cut it smaller....hmmmm....something to ponder.
  18. So, can the puzzle be moved, stored up right if needed without it getting messed up? I ask because amazon reviews say this isn't possible.
  19. I love building big puzzles 1000+ pieces....and right now my puzzle board is a large piece of foam core board on my livingroom floor, but I would really love to own a puzzle board (not a roll-up mat) that stores a puzzle that is in the process of being built and the loose pieces, but ideally can be folded up so that I can turn it vertically to move to another room or just store away between uses. I have looked at several on amazon, but they all have good and bad reviews. So, I was wondering if there is anybody here who might have experience with these types of things. Thanks.
  20. thanks for all of your responses....it has been very useful...not sure exactly what we will do...but I am leaning towards keeping it...but we will see.
  21. once in a while things take like 3-4 days...others more like a week...it used to be 2 days tops no matter what, with the option of quicker if I wanted it. I am not unhappy with 3-4 days...maybe I am just spoiled.... :)
  22. we don't have a Kohl's near us and even our closest big box store is 45 minutes away and I don't get there very often....glad I asked here....this has given me things to think about.
  23. I wondered about this. I love the free returns.... so that goes away without prime????
