Okay.... so we are trying to sell our home. Most homes in our area take a VERY long time to sell (a year or more) so I am considering renting out our current home so we can get moved to the town where my husband has moved to for his job. Anyone do this successfully without regret?
Thanks!

I would contact them. It is your daughter's Wish - Not theirs. Disney is so easy for MAW to complete because so many families go there.
Our daughter was diagnosed with cancer & when they came out & talk with her they stressed it was HER wish not ours that they would be granting....
Give the supervisor a call. Make HER wish come true

Looking for a Bible Study that will pick me up & give me the kick in the pants that I need. With everything going on in my life, I am so dried up spiritually and I don't like the feeling.
I will be doing this study with our "nanny". She is 18 and so spiritually wise. She is not down and out like I am so I want it to benefit her also, obviously. Dear hubby is living in our soon new to be town as soon as our home sells so he will not be joining me/us.
Thanks in advance

Has anyone ever done a Lease with Option to Buy on a home? Wondering how to get this done? What were the pros/cons?
Thanks in advance!

How long did it take to sell your home in this economy?? How about if you live in a rural community in town??
Obviously, we are trying to sell our home. Husband has taken a new job in the the new town and we are separated as a family.
Please pray for a quick sale! With everything else going on with our daughter, we would really like to be together.
Thanks!

The feud comes from both directions & I am not even sure how/when it started anymore. Add to the fact that everyone is so stressed out because our daughter is recently diagnosed with cancer & EVERYONE has an opinion on how her treatment should go...
There is no sense in pointing fingers - I am the one stuck in the middle and it STINKS!

My parents traveled down for the weekend - They live 12 hours away. My dh & they have never gotten along. This weekend was by the the WORST. My parents LOVE to spend time with the grandkids and are so willing to travel to our home to see them. After this weekend, I don't think it will happen again.
IF your husband and your own parents don't get along BUT you feel very strongly that they are great for the grandkiddos - how do you deal with it??

I had a plan to utilize Jensen's Grammar, Vocab & Writing for my 10th grader this year. Then I received the CLE catalog & thought maybe I should simply use their english for 10th grade which has everything.
Has anyone used CLE in HS for english. What are your thoughts??
Much appreciated.

I have thought about using the Biology 101 DVD series that has been so talked about here recently on the board but now I am wondering if DIVE Biology would be a better choice. Any thoughts?
I have a son who is NOT science inclined BUT I want him to have a good understanding of Biology...

How do you place classes that a child took at public HS? My son has taken Advanced Art & woodworking at local high school - do I include the grades from this school on my transcript or just have a separate one? How do I calculate GPA then?:001_huh:
Thanks in advance!

I know that some of you are using this next year for your children - anyone have a syllabus of how you are going to put it all together yet???? :bigear:

Where can I buy the best priced set for this? Also, do I need to purchase the dissection kit, microscope kit & prepared slides for this study? Lastly, has anyone used the new videos out for teaching of this program??
I have a very reluctant son who will be taking this next year and I want to make it as simple as possible for BOTH of us.
Thanks in advance

This is my most memorable & favorite HS read. I think the character development was so good in this book.
Just my opinion. We are just starting HS liter so no further comments...

:chillpill:My daughter has been recently diagnosed with cancer and has just recently lost all her hair. We have researched numerous hair wig companies. I would not recommend locks of love for donation. They charge for their wigs AND have very stringent requirements in order to get a wig from them. VERY frustrating.
I have included a few links for other hair donations companies that you can make to & they don't require 10"

BUT I would not make her grow it any longer. This has to be her decision - not yours.

If you own a Kindle - do you own the "New" or older edition?
Did you purchase directly from Amazon? If not, where did you find your great deal?
What are the pros/cons?
I am really seeking to purchase one as I am spending so much time at the hospital with my little one.
Thanks!

Wasn't there an American Girl Study Guide out there at one time? It had maps, I think, and a study of the AG book plus history... I am looking for the name of it and where I maybe able to find one for sale.
Thanks!

A friend and I were looking at our next year's schedule and our daughters are the same age/grade. She will be using Saxon 1/2 while mine should be in Saxon 87. When looking at the summaries of the books BOTH are pre-algebra books. SOOO what is the difference? Can you skip 87 & simply do 1/2???:001_huh:
Thanks

I LOVED it! My children LOVED it.
There are many hands on activities but yet a wealth of information to learn about the explorers as you go through the unit. It is very well done. You learn maps, history, knot making, ships, and soo so much more.
Please let me know if you have any specific questions. I can answer better that way. I high recommend any products from GeoMatters. We have also used their Trail Guides.
Blessings

PS If you are interested - mine is for sale since we are done with it - along with many resources.... Just pm me! =)

Does anyone have a large family & live in a really small home?? We are looking at a home that is very small compared to what we currently have. We have 7 children plus mom & dad. How have you made it work? Any advice, would be much appreciated.
