That’s how our Polly is. I pay the vet to cut her nails. She doesn’t get aggressive, she just tries to get away and she’s really strong!

It made you laugh Franklin does not enjoy getting his nails done, but he loves attention so he lets us. ? He’s such a good boy, he never struggles.

Pucker Up Our second daughter, age 3 at the state fair. I know it looks like she’s crying, but really she’s laughing so hard she’s not stopping to breathe. ?

This is one of my girls on her birthday, showing off her Cinderella shoes. Because a birthday is a perfect day to wear special shoes and a crown.

Chalk At our previous house the school room was immediately to the right when you came in our front door, and we had this chalkboard in there. I decided to draw a charming welcome for buyers to hopefully make them feel at home when they came in. Here is the chalkboard waiting alongside other things in the dining room to be loaded into our moving truck. It must have worked! ?

Yes, between the mattress and boxspring.

Our children (and a cousin) in borrowed (rented) costumes at Colonial Williamsburg. We went there years ago on our 1st anniversary trip, saw children dressed up, and dreamed of going again with our children someday. I was on could nine ALL day!! ❤️

We don’t because our beds that we could do that on have bedskirts. But I like the look. It looks more finished that just an uncovered box spring.

Sadly, none of my gray hairs are new. I started finding them at 19.

Something old: this is a 6 year old freeze dried pea. Once our 4th child was born it meant we had 3 children in diapers (so thankful our oldest was potty trained already). So, between that and all the sippies and stuff I needed a mega heavy duty diaper bag. It was PRICEY so I told DH I would use it forever. I still use it as a carry on when we fly. One time their freeze dried pea bag came open and was a mess. I vacuumed that diaper bag SO many times!! I found this a week ago while we were on vacation. ? Where are they coming from?!? I found one a year ago and cleaned it all out again!

I was reading the healthy ideas and suggestions in the other thread and was like whaaat? All the ideas were great, but it got me thinking about what I ate in college (thank YOU, Papa John) and it made me think of Kraft Easy Mac. Those single serve portions came out my freshman year of college. They didn’t come in the little microwaveable cups yet (walking down the hall to the communal bathroom to wash out a bowl with mac and cheese residue... good times). Anyways. I googled easy mac and all sources say the product was released in 2006, but I know I ate it in 2000. Our whole floor did, because hello - your very own portion of mac and cheese that you can make in your ROOM? An alternative to popcorn?! All that to say, I was graduated and married with a baby by 2006, so I know I’m not getting my dates wrong. This whole post doesn’t really have a point, but does anyone else remember single serve macaroni before 2006? Also, kudos to the moms with all the healthy snacks! The semesters I did theater I survived on delivery pizza, cheese and crackers and boxed cake mix. Maybe a bagel every now and then. Don’t ask how I did it.

Hungary. When I showed the picture to our children they asked why daddy was at Disney and didn’t take them? ?

I drink cold brew coffee with a little chocolate almond milk over ice every morning. Polly gets a piece of ice every day, so here she is ready and waiting.

So, if (IF) I ever get the chance to go shopping by myself I send selfies to my mom for opinions. It sounds silly, but 1)I value her opinion and 2)I distrust sales ladies that work on commission. ?

I would give it more time and observe. Maybe he picks up healthy behaviors from being in this new good environment. Or, maybe you see that he needs guidance. Just because he knows he’s overweight, doesn’t mean he knows how to help himself. If you think he needs help, ask him. If he says no then drop it, if he says yes be kind and gentle with your suggestions.

Advice for daughter who is mistaken for a guy...
snickerplum replied to 6packofun's topic in The Chat Board
I wouldn’t find it rude if someone said that to me. I’d probably feel bad for assuming,m and getting it wrong, but I wouldn’t be offended. If she said it with an annoyed look on her face or rolled her eyes, then it would be rude. ? Saying it with a kind smile is simply correcting. Like when someone thinks a bald headed baby is a boy, it’s not rude to say that it’s a girl. -

I would just correct people. Doesn’t take long to smile and just say, “Not a sir.” No biggie. -
Blue My oldest totally ripped in to this milk. Homeschool problem - not knowing how to open personal sized cartons. ?
