  1. Thank you for all the info. Do you know some of the lit. choices they offer for World History? Thanks :)
  2. Has anyone used the OM World or American History courses? Does the curriculum include exams? I was also wondering what literature selections they use. I see in the course description the student is introduced to literature, art, biographies, but I don't see specific titles. We have used Biblioplan for 5th-8th, so I'm nervous about making a change. I like what I see with OM, but really want to be sure.
  3. If you used the Discovery series in younger grades, do you repeat and do the Quest series for high school or do you use something else?
  4. Elemental History. We have stretched it out over 2 yrs for 2nd and 3rd. I added History Pockets and extra library books. I used Adventures with my oldest when in grade 2, and Elemental History would be my first choice.
  5. How many volumes will be in this series once complete? We have enjoyed Story of the World and want to use History of the World for high school, but I want to make sure we will be able to get through all volumes in 4 yrs.
  6. Can anyone compare the two? All I have seen of these are online samples. Trying to decide which one to buy for grade 7/8. Thanks :)
  7. I am using Mosdos Lit. this year and am a bit overwhelmed by the teacher manual. I realize it is written mainly for classroom use. What I want to know is, how do you use the teacher manual? It just has so much info. I can't begin to figure out how to cover it all. I'm not even sure if I'm supposed to cover it all. Right now I'm down to covering the questions/discussion that appears at the end of each selection, but I don't know if that is enough.
  8. I am Protestant and cannot say it from memory. I don't believe memorizing something necessarily makes it more meaningful. I can say it by heart along with someone else as it is being said, but if asked to do it on my own I would stumble terribly.
