  5. Hello everyone! Well I just helped my mom completely change my sister's 4th grade curriculum. We went from using a mix of life pac and time4learning.It was not working and my sister could do the work but absolutely hated it. The only thing she loved doing was the teaching Textbook math. I want to see what the hive thinks of our curriculum choice and if there is anything we could add. Everything has already been purchased so I can't return stuff. I know bad time to ask. Math- Teaching Textbook Math 4 L.A.- Spelling work out, Worldly Wise 4, Reading Spectrum 4 and time4writing.com History- SOS 4 Science- Apologia Zoology 1 with Notebook and lab kit P.E.- We play ball a few times a week plus nature hikes which I think I will tie into science. Spanish- I am just going to string together a few free resources and do it sort of lap book style.
  6. testing me signature :)
  7. Wow this thread is going to be super helpful for me. My schedule is really out of wack at the moment due to some personal reasons. I am dying to get it back on track. When my mom works my schedule looks like this. 10 AM-12 AM AP History 12 AM -1 PM Spanish 3 1 PM - 2 PM AP English Language 2 PM - 4 PM AP Chemistry 4 PM - 10 PM This is the time my family goes out and about eats dinner and watches a movie it is almost impossible to work so I usually bring TT Algebra 2 with me and do my 2 lessons in the car. 11 PM- 2AM Wrap up anything left (can you tell I am a night owl:D) This schedule is a mega rough idea of what to do. Since on FEB 4 I am adding two more classes AP Biology and AP European History. So I will do AP Bio between 8-9 am and 9-10 for AP Euro. Which means I will have to get up earlier yipee :glare:. The reason I have so much time for my subjects is 1 the extreme workload and my very very short attention span. I am liable to get distracted by pencil or something .
  8. Thanks I watch those videos all the time for fun I will just use them for math more often :iagree:
  9. Alright guys I will most definately be going with TT for Algebra 2 and Pre Calc:001_smile:
  10. I am so sorry I have not replied sooner but my internet was down.:glare: None of the other programs seem to work for me. I was half asleep before it was over. They seemed amazingly detailed but I really wan't something that teaches me what I need to in the quickest possible way. TT caught my attention because of this and now I am also looking at Thinkwell. Its nice that this one has automatic grading and a midterm and final and the man is pretty easy to understand. Does anybody know if thinkwell covers more than TT and if so how much?
  11. Do you think there is any way that I could use TT but supplement it with something to fill the gaps? If so what do you reccomend:confused:
  12. I already ruled out saxon because of its super dry text and chalkdust is crazy expensive. Any one else know something?
  13. Hey there, I decided not to use an online course for math. I first thought that I would use teaching textbooks but with all the bad reviews saying its behind I am not sure. So I was wondering what you reccomend.:bigear: Things I need -an independent program -Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus -I am an auditory and visual learner
  14. I used a book called Forgotten algebra with Khan Acadmey videos to help me relearn algebra 2 a few summers ago mabye it will help her?
  15. I hadn't thought of that :glare:. But it does make sense, so mabye I will just count the 4-5 hours a week I do exercising ( running, situps, streching ) as my P.E. and use the other as extra curricular . Don't worry though my schedule is good for this year:001_smile:. AP Chemsitry Algebra 2/Precalculas- 2 credits AP Litearature and Composition AP European History Spanish 3 AP Enviromental Science P.E. Mabye- A self designed astronomy course for fun.
  16. I would count it as one becauase this is what I plan to do this year :D. I take a ton of classes and trust me I could probably make 3 credits . Dance: 5 hours/week Tae Kwon Do: 5 hours /week General Exercising (running, streching, etc.): 4-5 hours/week Total: 14-15 hours/week x 36 weeks= 504-540

  19. Wow this scares me! I was planning on getting Saxon Algebra 2 to supplment my algebra 2 curriculum. Mabye I will just end up going with teaching textbooks and leave saxon behind.:glare:
  20. A hasty marriage in our day in age has no place in society for multiple reasons. A marriage usually will lead to a child if proper precautions are not used. It has already been proven that women may be physically ready to bear child at 11-12 years of age but is not mentally prepared for such a strain until well into their 20’s. This strain is usually added to by the fact that society does not usually support such young mothers and usually looks done at them whether are married or not. Also a rushed marriage will usually lead to breakup later. This partly due to the fact that the couple is not truly experienced and has not dated many people. Meaning they are more susceptible to meet someone who they like better later in life. Most young couples may spend their marriage wondering if the grass is greener on the other side. In our day and age there is truly no need for a hasty marriage reason being that the role of women has exceeded that of a housewife as they have gone to join the work force. That being said the time period in which the story of Romeo and Juliet was set did not agree. During this time period the laws of courtship greatly differed from that of today. For example many girls today will go on a date with a young man un-chaperoned and will most likely proceed to giving them a kiss before the end of the night. In Romeo and Juliet’s case a more elaborate courtship had to take place especially in the higher classes. A holding of hands or kiss of the hand is comparable to that of a kiss on the lips today. What do you think?
