CLE LA gets better after 2nd grade. We were frustrated too when we used 200 LUS, but we just kept on going, We are on 304 LU now, no more phonics in 300 LUS, very minimal schoolish stuff/phonics. No more complaints.

:iagree::iagree: We started MM with great enthusiasm, but there were redundant problems, too many on a single sheet, not enough space for kids to write..all made my son VERY frustrated that he began hating to do math.. We have switche dto CLE, much happier.. Try sample pages of various curriculums and see what your kiddo likes in terms of layout.. Good luck!

Got it...So we are reading SOTW just for exposure to history and not craming every detail that happened.. Not only my DS but I am also excited when it comes to reading our next chapter in SOTW..so wonderfully written:001_smile:

Hello All, My DS(8) has been listeningto SOTW since past 6 months with great interest, After listening to one chapter we do some activities from study guide, and later ,, SOTW test related to that chapter. We are on chapter 17 now, and if I go back and ask him who was shamshiadad/Hetshupset or who were asyrians, he turns blank!! He does very well, after listening to a chapter, but I guess he is not retaining the information..Am I expecting too much from him at this age? Please advice.

Wow, And seller indeed left neagtive rating for me.. How in the world her account by used someone in her own family and she was never informed about it, and the messages were sent out every week and still ignored???

I have finally left the Negative feedback, when I saw seller's last activity on this forum was just yesterday night and she still didnt respond to my PMs..

It has been 4 months now, I paid with personal check. After waiting for 2 months, I was finaly told , she got the books undelivered since she mailed books at wrong address ( which she might have picked from the check I posted her, that was my old address printed on cheque), Was it my fault there ?? She promised me to mail them right away at my new address. but never recieved till date. I have left 100s of messages for her, but I dont hear anything back from her, even though her user profile shows her alst activity past two days. it has been 4 months , i mailed her check, and feels cheated now Even though the amount was small, but still ethics first??

What would you do, if you paid for an item and now seller doesnt respond to your messages and you never received the books you paid for?

Hi, we recently found some holes in our hard wood floor with some"piles" on top if it..We are not sure what kind of bug/pest woul dbe causing this damage.. Online research suggests its not termite, but some beetles.. and should call Pest control department.. But I am not able to locate their number in CA, any help or advice?

Does any one know if there is any CLE coupon /discount thatcan be used , since I am buying many items, Total has added up ...anyway , I can use some dscount from them.. Thanks!

I think YES! I dont homeshool, but after being on these forums for a while, I feel, Moms are doing a great job at home, They being so concerned what their child is learning, what's his abilities/weaknesses are..What curriculum is working , what not.. My DS (7) goes to PS (Doing good according to review by teachers and results in tests), in a top rating school, but still I feel, in comparison to the homeschoolers learning from SOTW (History), FLL/MCT (Grammar), Singapore(MATH)...my kids are way behind in History, they know nothing uptil now, except a few leaders of USA, few facts about US..I bought a book of SOTW and its activity guide , to actually see whats in it.. I was amazed with the details/lesson approach.. Is it just me..as I am beginning to feel guilty, that I am sending my kids to PS in the hopes that they will get better education there, but when I compare them with teh grade plans for his grade level..I feel he is falling behind..) He is doing good in PS otherwise) Please advice:001_huh:

Kills its nutrient values?? I work and leave early mornings, and having a good breakfast before leaving is not possible, So I usually take eggs to my work place and cook them in Microwave , IS it still good for me, or am I just killing all its Nutrient Values?
