  1. Get Timez Attack from Big Brainz. It is AMAZING for multiplication drills - http://www.bigbrainz.com/
  2. You may want to consider Dreambox Learning. It is all online and it uses online manipulatives. My kids love it and I can really tell they are learning.
  3. My son is 9 and we are starting with Prima Latina. I don't want to go too fast with him because he gets frustrated easily.
  4. We are using Park City Independent - http://www.parkcityindependent.com/
  5. I have to recommend Math Whizz whizz.us my kids use it for 30 minutes a day and LOVE it! They actually ask to do math on their free time.
  6. Bump. I am wondering the same thing. I saw it on the co-op but cannot find any reviews on it.
  7. I have a 9 year old, an 8 year old, a 5 year old and a 3 year old all using it. They ALL love it! I am seeing really good progress especially with my two older ones.
  8. We don't ever use a schedule. Instead we have a daily "to-do" list of what needs to be accomplished. We start early in the morning (5:00 AM) and go throughout the day until it is all finished. Sometimes it gets interrupted, but we continue on throughout the day every free moment. We usually end up finishing around lunch time.
  9. I have 4 kids using this. I LOVE that I pay one price and all 4 of them can use it together. I have a 4th grader who is still doing the 3rd grade level. I also have a 2nd grader, a kindergartener and a preschooler all loving the program. I LOVE the manipulatives in the program, it is very hands on and they can truly visualize the math. I highly recommend it.
  10. I see it as a complete program. I love seeing my son's math age increase over time and he loves doing math now.
  11. We switched from doing paper workbooks to doing online FUN math programs. For grades K-3 I recommend Dreambox http://www.dreambox.com/ and for grades 4-8th I recommend Math Whizz http://www.whizz.us/ My kids didn't like math, but they all beg to play these online programs and they have progressed so much in such a short amount of time.
  12. I have my kids doing as many online programs as possible. For example, my middle schooler is doing Park City Independent so he does EVERYTHING online. I also use Math Whizz for my 9 year old and Dreambox for my younger kids. That way I can work one on one with one of my kids while the rest use computers. Time4Learning is also a good choice.
  13. It is $1100 per grade level (7th grade, 8th grade, etc...). You can move through it as slowly or quickly as you need.
  14. My 9 year old is doing it and really likes it. His name on there is Darrenb3
  15. I have my 9 year old in Math Whizz because and he LOVES it. I have my 3 youngest ones: 8 year old, 5 year old and 3 year old in Dream Box because it is less expensive. I recommend Dreambox for K-3 then moving on to Math Whizz for 4th grade and up. That is how I am using them for my kids.
  16. I have my 7th grader enrolled at Park City Independent and he loves it. You can move through all the grades at your own pace and you get an accredited high school diploma when you complete 12th. My son plans to start 8th grade in June and get a 3 month head start on his peers instead of going all summer without progressing.
  17. I have my 7th grader in this online accredited school. I did a search on the forum here but didn't find anyone else who is doing it. I like that you can move through the grades at your own pace as quickly as you'd like and actually get your high school diploma early if you dedicated yourself. My son plans to finish 7th grade in May and start 8th grade in June. Overall, both DS and I are really enjoying it. http://www.parkcityindependent.com/ I love that there are no set deadlines and he can truly move at a pace that is comfortable for him. EVERYTHING is online so there is no textbooks.
