  1. I use the Keepers at Home 3-ring organizer at home, but I carry a Franklin Covey Classic with me. I usally keep it in the car like many of the others and only take it in a store or work with me if needed. I try not to duplicate what is put in the notebooks. If I need information for both, I will make a copy. Hope this helps. Blessings, ClassicMom.
  2. How do you get your signature tag lines saved? TIA. Blessings, ClassicMom
  3. We've used Calvert 3rd and 5th. I thought it was horrible and my dd hated it. Thumbs down in our opinion. We've switched the younger ones to MUS and the older ones to Teaching Textbooks. Everyone is much happier. Blessings, ClassicMom
  4. Angela, I think you would be great at this! :iagree: Behind you 100%!! Blessings, Candace
  5. Elizabeth, I was not aware that Cincy was a for-profit organization. This was the first year that I was aware of them. CHEO definately deserves our support, with all the work that they do for the new and veteran homeschoolers. And yes, we are lucky to have two great conventions! Thank you for setting me straight on this. Blessings, Candace I'll be seeing you at CHEO! :auto:
  6. Hi Angela!! I was wondering what CHEO was going to be like this year after the convention in Cinn. I thought last year was kind of sad. I just received the brochure for CHEO and most of the schedule was TBA. Did anyone notice that? DD (14) and I were thinking of driving up to INCH. Looks like decent speakers and vendors. I look forward to the opinions of others! Blessings, Candace
  7. I agree with many of the others that have spoken here. You have many years ahead to cover history. MFW Geography is awesome and a wonderful way to start your studies. The children really enjoy it and it gives them an idea of where the places are when you start studying history the following years. We studied geography before the history cycle and it really helped. :iagree: IMHO I would do MFW and then move onto ancients next year. Blessings, ClassicMom (mom to 5: 18, 14, 13, 12, 5 )
  8. We belong to an umbrella school that supports the use of real books. They are very easy to work with, helpful and supportive of your homeschool beliefs. www.homeschoolingbooks.com Once at the site you will want to go to the Sower's Academy. While they do sell books, you do not need to stick to their books. You may use any curriculum as long as you discuss it with them. Blessings, ClassicMom
  9. Rainbow Resource has great handwriting paper of all kinds. We've homeschooled for almost 16 years and when my oldest were younger, my favorite paper was the "Writing Paper with a Difference". They have primary and intermediate. Check it out on their website. It's great!
