Maybe it's because ds has a better concept of math basics than dd or it's the gradual introduction of MEP , but so far this hasn't been an issue. Granted, we are about to start week 2 of 2A....

From where it states "grammar Literature" or "logic Literature." I've always thought it was CHOL but the more common referral is to CHOLL.

Would one still need a writing program like WWE? I'm thinking no because we also incorporate some copywork and narration into our science program. We also have a grammar program (dd: MCT Island and ds: ViE.) The only thing I think we may be lacking is more dictation work, but I imagine that's easily remedied.

I'm also wondering if this will pull from the Life of Fred crowd. People seem to like LoF because of it having a storyline and being so different from any other program out there. It looks like BA takes it one (or several!) step further by adding better graphics, more characters, and what looks like it will be a more engaging story. It also will absolutely be a more complete program than LoF elementary.
I was wondering the same thing. I could see us easily dropping LoF elementary for BA. Then using MM for additional practice, if necessary (only because I already have it.)

I'm happy to hear this! It means that my combo of MEP and MM should do a good job of covering all of the necessary topics for a great elementary math education with my second son. My eldest did a bit of MEP before switching to MM and I really wish we had stuck with MEP, too. He is currently working on MM2B. I think we need to do a bit more work before we start BA, though. We started the pretest and he had some trouble. I told him we would review a few things before trying again. I have a feeling that my mathy 6-year-old is going to want to do extra math every day so he can catch up to his brother!
We did it the opposite way -- we started with MM and just started adding in MEP. I also feel that the two combine easily. I think we're going to hold off buying it as dd is only in MM 2A and we probably wouldn't be ready for BA until the fall. But that gives me a good amount of :lurk5: time to read others reviews.

From what I have been reading on these boards and their Facebook page, it is designed to be a full curriculum.
Which leaves me in a quandary as we recently started using MEP along with MM. If I purchase it, then I would probably just do BA without any supplementation.

We've enjoyed them. The monkeys really get into trying to solve the problems and figuring out if they can solve them in another way.

DS enjoys both programs and asked to do both, otherwise I'd just stick with WWE.
