  5. You mentioned (and on another person on another tread) Treasured Conversations in another post and I checked it out and I really like the skills being taught. I am going to be switching to Lost Tools of Writing (part of classical conversations) next year. I am trying to prepare. so now I am wondering if I should skip book 4 and do Treasured Conversations... Or should I do both?
  6. Is Treasured Conversations like W&R book 3 and 4 together? Ive never heard of Treasured Conversations can you tell me a little more about it? I am planning to do Lost Tools of Writing after Book 4 of W&R. I wanted to be prepared, but know looking at Treasured Conversations maybe I should skip book 4 and do Treasured Conversations.... Should I? Would this be enough?
  7. Hi Rose, We are now in lesson 6 of book 3 and not liking the outfling. Do you recommend we skip them? We did do the Outlining book 2 from Remedia, but I want more practice something more challenging. I was thinking of doing the lessons from WWS1. Would I be able to do this without overwhelming her?
  8. We did The WTM recommends the Outlining workbook book 2 from Remedia Publications. But when it came to outling the stories in the W&R she had a hard time. Since there stories, not information (like history or science). I have the R&S books 5-7. Maybe I will go through those. Thank you
  9. We are in book 3 of CAP W&R. But we need more help with outling. Any recommendations?
  10. Does MCT teach the same topics? I've read they don't teach diagramming? And do you think Magic Lens 1 be a good place to start? We finished R&S 5 and 6.
  11. I like the sound of MT and my DD dislikes R&S. Would this be a good switch?
  12. Is it possible to do Magic Lens 1 and not 4 Practice 1? and would it be to much to do Magic Lens 1 and Rod and Staff 7?
  13. I would be starting MCTs Word within the Word or Vocabulary from Classical Roots A. Is there a difference? Are they basically teaching the same thing? What are the cons and pros please?
  14. Our library has The Mammoth Book of Eye-Witness History and World in Ancient Times series but only (Near East, Egypt, South Asia). Are these Primary Sources?
  15. We are going through the Ancients. But I need help. How do you choose what to read? Do you just have them read, then answer the questions from WTM? We have been using BiblioPlan but they don't suggest Primary sources. Should I or she just pick and choose from all of these? Or is on better or easier to use then the other? I got these book titles from searching the boards (& WTM). The Mammoth Book of Eye-Witness History The Ancients in Their Own Words The World in Ancient Times: Primary Sources & Reference Volume Thank you for your help Mindy
  16. I was wondering if anyone has combined History Odyssey Level 2 Middle Ages with Mystery of History or BiblioPlans Companion? I want to use the HO as the guide with The Kingfisher, but instead of The Story of Man Kind, Mystery of History or BiblioPlans Companion? Would this be easy to do?
  17. Thank you! We looked into Fable and the Narrtive 1 and purchased Narrtive 1. I had her look at the lessons and she is very excited. Thank you again!!
