  1. Years ago I had a book that listed books by time period, author, and title...I think. It was similar to Turning Back the Pages of Time, but it was not just American history. It was from beginning til now. I can't believe my poor memory. Not only can't I remember the title, I can't remember where it is! :( Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Pam
  2. Oh, NO! I just purchased EG, and I sold all my R&S. And for the reason you stated. Trying to par down. I hope we can make EG work for us. :( Pam
  3. Oh, I would love to have met Dave personally. Did you get his teaching tapes that go along with levels 1-4? I know they are no longer available. Strangely, when I called WS, they said they didn't know he put out teaching tapes. I am so glad I still have mine. Pam
  4. Sounds good to me. Thanks for the comparison. I actually have teaching tapes by Dave Marks for levels 1-4 (although, I know they are not needed). I know my older dc liked listening to him. I almost always come back to the tried-and-true. Pam
  5. tell me what you think about the Write Source Level books...not the older handbook. Pam
  6. Yes, 5 would work fine. I have had 2 of ours in 4 & 5 last year and I see a lot of review. I see a lot of the same topics. Pam
  7. Just thought I'd try 1 more time. Pam
  8. hmmmm, I can't find any reviews. Anyone? :)
  9. I did find a line up of Guerber & VP in a file someone shared with me. Now I have a used copy of SoC coming. Boy, I did use to have that book from my olders, and I can't remember how we liked/disliked it. We are back to doing VP SP to see if we can finish up OT&AE. I just have very limited time online. I WANT to get THROUGH ancients! I am noticing that the SP does add information I might not know to teach, and that bothers me. :( I need to let it be. Children have learned just fine using the VP Lesson Plans before SP ever came out. So for now we are doing VP Timeline, OT&AE SP, All scheduled Lit. books, and all resources (except Children's Ill. Bible-- that I don't have). We are doing 2 lessons a day so we can move on to something else. Then again....Easy Classical has a good schedule and geography program, too. :001_unsure: :banghead: :confused1: Why does there always have to be that ONE subject!!!!!!
  10. Yeah, that's the only one I found when I was searching. I just don't know if I want to spend $30 on a schedule right now. I'm looking it over. Thanks Pam
  11. Yes, and I don't know why they use SoC. It is considered a high school book, and VP OT&AE, etc... are mostly 2nd through 6th.?? Pam
  12. Anyone have a line up for these 2 together? OT&AE, NTGR Pam
  13. Here is the sample of the old song. It is sold with the 'you teach' instead of the 'self-paced'. Pam
  14. Thanks for posting this! We do a 'morning opening' and these would be a big help to what I am sometimes looking for. Pam
  15. For those of you who have used this, did you get the book format, or the panels? Pam
  16. The NEW VP Bible timeline song is more like the History Timeline we are learning. The topics are numbered like the cards. In the OLD Bible timeline song, there is a lot more detail, and they don't sing the card numbers, they sing more Bible references and dates. Which do you prefer? I DO NOT care about which tune is more catchy, etc. I am only trying to decide between more or less detail for memorizing a timeline. Pam
  17. We only do the Grammar book. We do NOT write in the books. Our boys take about 30 min. They pretty much do it all on their own. You'll have to see what others say about the Writing book. We finally found a grammar program that works for us! :) Pam
