Just wanted to add that their approach when it comes to diet, although they say that they're not really a diet per se, more like behavior changing, is very similar to Volumetrics. You could look that approach up and/or look into the Volumetrics books.

I started in late November or so and love it. I find it very motivating. Christmas and all the indulgence threw me off, but now I'm happy to get back on track. Three years ago, I had success with WW, but that stopped working for me. I have a hard time sticking with most things when it comes to diet. I hope that I can succeed with this. I'm not looking for any quick fixes, more like something over the long-term. Food and eating are the bane of my existence. I have recently found Pahla B on YouTube and she is wonderful. If you or anyone don't want to necessarily pay for Noom, Pahla B is another option worth considering. She has some free e-books that are extremely helpful. She has organized playlists for weight loss. I just joined her Facebook group and it's very encouraging. She also has a podcast. If you want more tips/info, let me know. I'll be happy to share. Right now, I'm thrilled to have a plan. I feel confident that with her approach and Noom, I may be able to do this. God willing.
  5. Lots of Kindle books on sale today! Biography/Memoir Not sure about this one Autobiography/Memoir Not sure about this one either Self-Help
  6. Kindle books on sale. Short Stories/Horror/Fiction - this one isn't really a sale. It's a very short read. Humor/Self-Help/Inspirational Self-Help/Memoir Business/Self-Help
  7. I read Stitches: A Memoir - 4 Stars - I read this graphic memoir in one sitting. David Small’s childhood and family life were horrifying to say the least. Not to sound smug or self-righteous, but it’s parents like these that have me wondering. Honestly, some people should seriously consider whether they’re emotionally and mentally prepared before considering marriage and/or children. At the very least, I wish that they would put some thought into these major decisions. Some people shouldn’t be parents. Although reading this was emotionally draining, I’m glad that I did. This is the type of book that has remained with me.
  8. Kindle book on sale today. Has anyone here read this? The reviews seem to be quite polarized. I'm not sure if I should get it or not.
  9. Happy New Year everyone! Kindle book on sale today.
  10. My family is closer than ever before. My kids have matured by leaps and bounds. We're all more united and strong. My husband reminds me of all this often, especially when I feel a bit down about all the negatives. Thank you for this thread!
  11. Kindle book on sale today. Although it's geared for middle-grades, I've heard that it's wonderful.
  12. Although I prefer her DVDs, her book was definitely motivating. I just finished reading it. Here's my review for anyone who may be interested. I would love to eventually get more of her workouts or subscribe to her streaming service.
  13. My favorite books of the year. It feels odd to go through my list. I can clearly see my lack of focus as soon as the pandemic started to hit. Since that time, I seem to have read less fiction than usual, and more fluff.
  14. I read The Ladybird Book of the Nerd - 1 Star - Not as funny as others in the series. I am officially done with this series. Yay! Quotable Wisdom: Winston Churchill - 4 Stars - Here's my Good Reads review with quotes. Ballet Beautiful: Transform Your Body and Gain the Strength, Grace, and Focus of a Ballet Dancer - 5 Stars - Here's my Good Reads review.
  15. Kindle book on sale today. I'm not sure about this one. I know that it's no "Rebecca". I haven't yet read "Jamaica Inn" either.
  16. Lori, I loved it! I believe that they now have a Centenary Edition.
  17. I read The Ladybird Book of the Big Night Out - 1 Star - Not as funny as others in the series. Letters from Father Christmas - 4 Stars - Oh, what a charming book! I was skeptical about getting this, since I’m not even a Tolkien fan. That genre is just not my cup of tea. I’m so glad that I got this. What a beautiful book to get me in the mood for Christmas! While reading this, I was amazed at all the love and dedication that Tolkien put into these letters from Father Christmas to his children for years and years! The illustrations are incredible. The only thing that I would have loved to see were the letters from his children to Father Christmas. This book is delightful for children and adults.
  18. Kindle books on sale today. The Grapes of Wrath This one, Olive Again, I'm not sure about. I haven't even read the first one yet.
