Keep calling. If they say you are on the list say you just wanted to make sure.
I had have had problems with my dryer every since I bought it. They sent someone to fix it, several different times but they took forever to send soomeone. I would call but waited and waited before I called back. I wish now I would have called every day. Maybe I would have a fixed dryer instead of a dryer that has problems and an expired warranty.
Keep Calling

I am in a similar fix right now too. The repair man is the dad of a good friend. I asked him if it was worth fixing.
He said "Honestly no. You sink that much money in it now for a compressor and sometimes it works good for a while, sometimes it doesn't. Then you are out more money. In my opinion you are better off buying a new fridge."
The way I see it, him telling me that was money out of his pocket but he is a very honest man.

I just took a pair of 8's to Goodwill last week. If I still had them I would have gladly sent them to you. My kiddos loved overalls.
Agreeing with other poster, farm stores should have them. How about consignment shops?

I just peeled, sliced, put in a freezer bag and tossed bag in the freezer. I didn't really think about them turning brown. I was just using mine in pies a couple months later anyway.
For the pies I just took them out of the freezer and ran bag under warm water to get the slices kinda unstuck. Then tossed in my pies.

I found some sets of 3 material lined wicker baskets at Walgreens. Each set is 3 sizes but they look nice and work great. I think it was $10 a set

Ds switched back and forth for a LONG time. I just put whatever (spoon, pencil etc) in the middle and let him pick it up with whatever hand felt natural.
Now he writes left but does most other things with his right. (eats, bats, catches etc.)

Guys like that make me so mad :banghead:
That and when you are trying to buy something new and the guy only wants to talk to dh. Dh looks at them and says "If you want to make a sale you better be talking to her, if you don't want to talk to her we will leave and quit wasting your time"

Not totally taking off but moving at the speed of molasses :D It was very chilly this morning and we have just been in no hurry about anything. Lots of read alouds while snuggled under blankets.

Additionally, I would like a stove that doesn't shoot fireballs at me when I cook, a refridgerator that actually closes without being kicked, a sink that doesn't leak, a dishwasher that actually gets the dishes clean without me having to wash them first, and someone to deep clean my house.
Totally understand you

It makes me wonder what kind of weird things? Flapping them like a duck? The YMCA? ASL?:001_huh::tongue_smilie:
I just busted out laughing on this one. Ds1 has just "discovered" the song YMCA and at weird times he will start doing the motions.:lol:

Not for everyone but I took ds to the chiropractor for his allergies. He was taking meds daily and still so stuffy and felt awful. Now he has to take an occasional otc pill and they are few and far between.

When we are low on money (alot) or trying to pay off a repair (again very often) I fix alot of potato or rice recipes. We don't have potatoes if they happen to be high that week but if they are cheap I stock up.
With the rice recipes most of the time I will add more rice than the recipe calls for. Stretches the recipe. One of our favorite meals is to fix rice and some brown gravy (I use the packs that I can get cheaply. Brown a little meat (ground beef or pieces of any other kind of beef, usually left over from previous meal) Mix all together, add a little pepper and Yum.
Here is another website I like too.
BTW -- :hurray: to you for deciding to get out of that debt. I think we all need to be encouraged

I was bad  for an afternoon snack I fixed us each a small bowl of ice cream (hey at least it was a small bowl  )
Kudos to my kiddos who kept switching out the laundry for me. (had a ton to do today)

Early lunch of ham sandwiches, cheetos (I know bad) and water. I think I need something with caffeine ;) We had a very busy weekend and I have felt sluggish all day.
Got a late start on schooling today but got a couple things done around the house.:D We don't have to go anywhere today so we can work later on school so all is good.

It was bright and sunny. I hadn't even turned on the tv that day. I was doing some minor cleaning while the baby napped and the 3yr old played. My friend was out doing some errands and heard on the radio about the 1st tower getting hit. She was near my house so she stopped. She came in the door saying "Turn on your tv. Something terrible is happening."
We just sat on the couch watching. Shocked beyond words. The baby woke but stayed very quiet and 3yr old crawled up near me. Continued to play quietly but sat very near me.

We are going to be looking for one very soon (not because I want to mind you). I asked a repair man that I trust what brand is a good one. He said Whirlpool

It happens quiet often around here and doesn't bother me. I just make sure I shred anything with personal info on it.
Not to long ago a neighbor moved. The next day there was a couple out there going through the garbage cans and boxes the neighbor left by the road. This couple was really digging through the stuff and made a mess. I watched them take various pieces of clothes, a quilt, and some dishes. They put all their stuff in one of the bags they opened. Then they cleaned everything back up before they left.
As long as they don't leave a mess I don't mind someone getting something they can use. Hey beats sending it to the landfill.

Hanging my head in shame :blushing: but I will go ahead tell.
Cheerios
Cornflakes
Frosted Flakes
Cocoa Puffs
Cookie Crisp
I will say that we don't eat cereal for breakfast very often. We eat it more as a snack and still then not very often.

I have a deep bottom cabinet. I put a laundry basket under there. All tupperware type stuff stays in it. Easy to pull the basket in and out to find what I need and easy to toss in after washing.
I use to store the lids in a drawer but now I just make sure they are totally dry and store with the lids on.

Haven't even ordered yet
Wooden train tracks
in General Education Discussion Board
Posted
After I configured the track I then hot glued each piece to their train table. After a while hot glue popped loose but it lasted a little bit.
When we were little my dad glued my brother's wooden tracks to a large board (he painted the board first just for looks. Then when my brother was finished playing the whole thing slid under his bed. This was regular glue or something....it never popped loose.
