  1. We love pumpkin bars here and they are always requested. I am also going to make pioneer woman's chocolate cake. Holy Moly that should help me gain back some of my weight. Melissa
  2. Thanks for the suggestions! I am just trying to figure out what I can even do anymore. At what age did I become so useless?? :) These will be great starting points. Thanks again. Melissa
  3. Ok I hate jean shopping and seem to be doing far too much of it since my metabolism kicked in recently. But I did find before I got to small for them that dress barn had some great jeans. I had tried on 30 pair (the kids kept count) before I tried there. I loved them for being the perfect rise, etc. Good luck. Melissa
  4. Having been to several black and white weddings I can promise it will be fine. Actually it has a very classy feel to them. Melissa
  5. When showing my house while trying to live in it, I asked the realtor to give me at least forty five minute notice. Realizing I had to get three kids out of the house and tidy up she usually gave me at least an hour. I also bought fresh flowers each week and made the least smelly foods possible. Baskets are a brilliant plan and I also assigned each kid a spot that they did as we left. Melissa
  6. I like the skinny jeans from Charlotte Russe. The fabric seems thick enough in both of their styles. melissa
  7. Yep exactly. I know I need it but I have been feeling so badly about it. For some reason I have trouble bringing myself to want his money. I haven't worked in fifteen years and have absolutely no job skills that I can think of that would cover my expenses. It is a complete mind set thing. I am now trying to rethink it all. You are so brave. This is hard. Hope all goes well for you. Melissa
  8. I don't really use recipies but I use the leftovers for turkey enchiladas, pot pies (with the veggies served t-day), soups, and turkey chili. I just make it up as I go along since I am never certain how much there will be left over either. melissa
  9. Wow that is terrific. I would probably die if someone stuck a test in front of me now days. Melissa
  10. I know I once read in the hive mind about job opportunities for working at home. At the time they needed a pc but I didn't have one. Now I do and I really need to get a job and I really want to keep schooling too. Yes I want it all but don't really have a skill set since I haven't worked in nearly16 years. Anyone have any suggestions?
  11. Wow! Can't believe that after a year away from the hive (I had to redo my name since I couldn't even remember!) that something so very similar to what I am going to be doing is being discussed. I have to say you seem to be being given golden advice. It seems to me the hardest is to come up with alimony figures. I have to say my best friend helped me the most when she said that I was right alimony is a dirty word but destitute is worse. I hadn't even thought about expenses for clothes and drycleaning being caused by the need for work. Yikes! I think though I would add a bit to my fuel bills though as those seem to reallybe rising lately. Melissa
