  1. He writes on paper...it's good practice.
  2. Thanks for the help..I decided to take a break from starting Beta..and work just on Math facts. Thanks for all of the help. Billie
  3. I have a son who is 7 and we are just staring MUS Beta. He still cannot add 9+6 without the blocks..all math facts actually he needs the blocks. So frustrating. This is my only child that started out with MUS. The other children had did Saxon first and no problems with this. Wondering what to do. Should I switch programs and what do you recommend or is their a supplement workbook we can work through. Thanks for you help, Billie
  4. I also love Sonlight..but decided to do Beautiful Feet Ancient History this year. More history focus than Sonlight. Billie
  5. I went to Mardels and got really good laminated maps. It was like $12 for a U.S, World and Flag Map..plus a C.D. Good size for the wall. Very impressed. Billie
  6. I make copies for my kids. Billie
  7. We really like Artistic Pursuits. They have a really great program..easy to implement. Kids really like it. Easy for me also. Great program.
  8. We will be using Beyond this year also and using FLL 2nd year. We did 1st year this last year. I really like it and plan on finishing it. My kids really like FLL also. I probably won't add anything else for history..I just might elaborate on the subjects. Billie
  9. We have just finished week 17. My kids "begged" to follow the School District schedule, so they can have days off when the neighborhood kids get off. It has really worked very well, and I feel we are getting so much done this year. Billie
  10. I have used 100EZ lessons. It worked really well with my 1st child, then not so well with the 2nd and 3rd child. So I am currently using with my 3rd and 4th child OPGTR. But I have modified it some. It seems to move a little fast. So I am combining this program with Reading Reflex (which has helped so much on blending etc.), and Alpha Phonics which has really helped to solidify the phonics. I feel that my kids 1st and 2nd grade are really getting it. Plus I use Victory Drill for "fun reading practice". BTW: I have all boys. Billie Edit: The boys also do Explode the Code books.
  11. If you visit Videofitness.com and go to their Challenges etc., their is a Homeschool checkin. It is really great, free, and just homeschoolers who do checkin daily. You don't have to exercise with videos. Billie
  12. We are using Sonlight Science. I am tired of "piecing" stuff together. We just never seem to do it consistently. So we are using Sonlight Science. I looked in the catalog and Science 2 studies Geology, Biology and Mechanical Technology. Some of the books is "Great Dinosaur Mystery and the Bible", Magic School Bus Inside the Earth, Magic School Bus Inside the Solar System, Plus Science Activity Books. Billie
