  1. She really had done years worth of research & work on this book. It's so pretty to look at too.
  2. Can I make a unit study recommendation? Who's heard of the book "Little Britches"? Some have described it as the "Litttle House on the Prairie" for boys. Check out this wonderful study guide to help make this classic book an even more rich unit study. It's printed on high quality paper, includes an awesome DVD & has THE most wonderful graphics. It's literally a feast for the eyes! If you are looking for a good Christian unit study for Colorado History or the west this would be a good addition to your library.
  3. Bumping for more... :) Anyone know if Apologia was an issue?
  4. Just wanted to report we are loving the sample chapter & will order Kinetic Books. Just trying to decide if we need the textbook or just do it on the computer.
  5. Did you use this for someone as young as 3 though? As a mom to a 12 year old who has used the malem & would highly recommend them I'm not sure I'd suggest a Malem for a 3 year old. Even 5 would be pushing it I think. The thing about the Malem is it is a lot of work initially and the child has to be bothered enough by bet wetting to WANT to use it. At least that is my experience. We have used the Malem on two seperate occasions with my 12 year old & it worked with in a week both times. He did relapse well over a year later each time though so I had to rebuy the alarm. So if you do decide to go the route of the alarm I suggest hanging on to it for well over a year. ;)
  6. Made by Petchy is fun to look through she has a ton of good ideas.
  7. I'm not sure of his reading level, but these are all chapter books. Any books by... Marguerite Henry Jean Craighead George GA Henty Jim Kjelgaard Boys of Grit who became Men of Honor by Archer Wallace I've got others. Let me think about it a minute.
  8. Just pick it off & deposit it elsewhere..preferably farther from your house eh? The eggs will be fine inside the sac.
  9. That is so sweet. Yay momma for making it so much fun.
  10. Eggs keep a very long time. I'm sure you've floated by now, but 4 days wouldn't give me pause unless it was a very hot coop.
  11. My 16 year old stopped playing with them so much at about 13 or 14 I think.
  12. My mom used to do this. I just remember them drying in the garage forever and being very very very labor intensive to get them shelled.
