  1. I wear one everyday. A ton of my friends wear them. DD wears a skirt everyday but she goes to Catholic school.
  2. I love audiobooks and Wodehouse books! Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.
  3. Great minds and all that. DD is getting a piano book in her Easter basket also. She's getting a Taylor Swift book though.
  4. I camp with Scouts and with my family. We love it. DH and I started off tent camping and then bought a pop up. There wasn't room for it when we moved so now we're back to tent camping. We're going out next weekend and I'm excited! That said ... I love camping for two nights. I have no interest in being out longer than that!
  5. I think we need to watch out for crazy book reviews from Stacia. If she starts raving about loving the Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood we'll know it's just the lenses.
  6. I have no suggestions on color but I really had to laugh at the title. Last weekend my best friend came over and wallpapered my downstairs bathroom. I love it and told my husband I can't wait to wallpaper another room.
  7. You know what I love about this place? That we have so many diverse people on here. For instance, I have never uttered the ten words marbel just said in that order and yet I don't judge marbel harshly or think she's some kind of early morning crazy lady. I just think that it's nice to have a different opinion on things. Is The Twelve Dancing Princesses that you gave up on the one by Elizabeth Day George? My book club almost picked that to read next month and I have it on my nightstand thinking I might read it anyway. Or not now! I love Beauty! One of my favorite retellings!
  8. Just a bunch of wild and crazy ladies out on the town ... checking out libraries.
  9. I'm a bit delayed on my comments but YAY! I love Wait Wait. It's so funny. I've always wanted to go to one of the live shows and I'm envious of your experience. And I'm happy to hear good news on the employment front. My family would be interested. Seriously. That would be so much fun. Possibly something that could take us up to Prince Edward Island. (If only there was a book we could read set there ...) http://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruises?destinationRegionCode_ATLCO=true
  10. Another one bites the dust ... another audiobook that is. I've been super busy with work lately and that's my audiobook time. A Rule Against Murder by Lousie Penny. (Armand Garmache series #4) The series is just splendid. This was my least favorite of the four but the others were so fantastic that it doesn't take away from this book at all. Great cozy mystery series set in small town Canada. I love the setting as much as I love the characters. There's also a mystery in there but that's a distant third to loving the story and characters. Next up on audiobooks will be an Ellis Peters book.
  11. I'm glad she and Ronnie will be together again now. :crying:
  12. I have been on relistening kick: The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman The Talisman Ring by Georgette Heyer *sigh* So much fun. I am still working on Agatha Christie's autobiography. It is the most word dense book I have ever read. Not a lick of white space in the whole thing. It's interesting but non-fiction doesn't seem to grab me the way fiction does so I'm slowly plodding through it.
  13. Baked potato bar Chili over fritos Costco lasagnas
  14. That is really witty. I have sent it to about 15 friends!
  15. I know it has been discussed here and I can't remember the name or find it in a search. Help!
  16. Um ... I recommend family therapy immediately. Your DH's reaction (and to some extent even your reactions) are a bit odd. If my FIL had molested by child then HE WOULDN'T KNOW WHERE WE LIVED after that. Let alone live in a house he owns. If I told my MIL and she thought it was a "misunderstanding" then SHE WOULD NEVER SEE MY CHILD AGAIN. Period. Done. People who molest children and people who defend them are not worth having in your family.
  17. Since it sounds like it's just you and the kids at dinner could you make lunch your main meal and dinner could be a small informal meal. Your nerves and children's behavior are both probably better at noon than at six.
  18. This eBag. http://www.ebags.com/product/ebags/mother-lode-tls-weekender-convertible/143101?productid=1370034 My family of four did a three week European trip last summer using three of them and it was great. We travel a lot and can't recommend them enough.
  19. I realized that I will only be able to read a certain number of books for the rest of my life and that has helped me be comfortable in dropping books. I am 34. I read between 50-150 books a year. My grandparents all lived into their mid to late 80's. 85-34 = 51 years until I die 51 X 50 books per year = 2,550 books 51 X 150 books per year = 7,650 books That means I'll only be able to read between 2,550 to 7,650 books more in my lifetime. I simply don't have time to read books that don't interest me!
  20. Stacia - I'm hoping life calms down for you. It seems like you've got a lot going on right now. ((HUGS)) Finished - All Things Bright and Beautiful by James Herriot as an audiobook. Splendid. Just splendid. My literary crush on the 1930's veterinarian continues. *sigh* :001_wub: :001_wub: :001_wub:
