Stoeffer's has large meals to bake for $10-$12. Lasagna and cheese enchiladas are both tasty. Couple them with a salad or bread.

I'll be the oddball! This winter has been an absolute BLESSING for us! DH works at a salt mine so business is booming huge!! The past two winters were so mild and there were so many layoffs (not dh at least!). So I have to say (as the rest of you throw the most rotten tomatoes at me!) LET IT SNOW!!!!!!!!!

My hobby is WWII. I just started reading about German military strategies with a book called "The Rommel Papers". Fascinating with lots of things most people do not know about.

I would want dh to come but I grew up going on vacations without my dad. My parents are self employed so he had to stay home and take care of business while my mom and I went on vacations (with my sister or my grandma or just ourselves).

The Law & Order thing is hysterical. If you start at season one you'll see Lenny Briscoe as a lawyer, and VanBuren as a grieving mother. The show is so fun to watch and see all the big actors on it as criminals before they were big. Love it!!

Law & Order and Law & Order SVU. I can watch the repeats 100x and still want to watch them again and again.

My absolute favorite war "hero" is Erwin Rommel. Not only was he a brilliant strategist but he was also compassionate and earned respect from both the Allies and Axis powers. There weren't harsh treatment complaints against him from POWs and he ignored orders to kill Jews.

How old are your kids? 7.5 and 5 years old
When do you get up? Between 5am and 5:30am
When do the kids get up? Around 5:30am

When does school start? I start breakfast around 8am and we start school when I read aloud while they are eating breakfast.
 
Any tips on starting school on time? I am big on routine. Start a routine and stick with it.

[When you travel to stay with relatives...]

In laws are here.  They brought peanut butter, among other common pantry items.

 

Actually, I think that's rather thoughtful of them to help out with food.

 

If it were a relative that we have never stayed with before, I would ask if they would like us to bring anything. I would probably show up with at least a platter of brownies if they said no. I would probably also pack some extra snacks for the girls though - for both the road and the relatives' home.

DH works at the salt mine in NY and this is sooo good for business! After a couple of years of milder winters, us salt miner families needed this!!!

[Family Vacation - old favorite destination or explore something new?]

For a longer vacation, I would go somewhere new. We do have a camping spot that we return to yearly for the weekend. Same spot too.

Ohhh...you are suppose to have romantic plans on Valentine's Day??? :lol:

 

I do make the pancakes with sprinkles in them too for the girls.
