gardenmom5
with jenna colman. I missed when this aired last year. apparently, the dvd has been cut from the original aired version. the available version on prime/netflix is the cut version. there is a version on youtube that "might" be the full version (it's longer) - but I've no idea. it's only for rent each episode at a time. anyone know anything? Seasider
? I thought it was new this season ? Maybe since it's well along, PBS is already advertising the 1st season DVD?

Beth S
Victoria is currently airing on Masterpiece, on PBS on Sunday nights (and other times). The final episode is airing on Sunday, March 5th. Links to all six previous episodes are on the PBS website. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/shows/victoria/ Yes, Masterpiece sometimes shortens the episode, to fit their time constraints. You can find the UK version on unofficial websites online. It was shown in the UK on ITV in August 2016. I highly recommend it, if you enjoy British costumed dramas. And especially if you are a Rufus Sewell fan. :) Yes, a second season is in the works, for later 2017 (including a Christmas special, apparently).

Mothersweets
Gardenmom5, I haven't heard of it airing until this January 2017 in the US and in the UK last fall. I've been watching it on my local PBS station except for one week when I missed it and went to amazon to get caught up. What do y'all think of it? I've been rather underwhelmed with the series although I like Jenna Colman and love Rufus Sewell :001_wub:. Kinda disappointing because I expected to really love it but the writing and storylines (the upstairs/downstairs thing) aren't grabbing me and Queen Victoria never was in LOVE with Lord M. :confused1: And I really really wanted to like Prince Albert but the way the actor has been portraying him just makes me irritated (can't he ever close his mouth?).

I have to admit the snippets I've seen on youtube don't overwhelm me either. I liked the albert from young victoria much better. I have it set to record - so I'll be watching next week. and i'll have more time. it was in the UK in august.
