Jann in TX
I'm heading off to Uganda again this summer and need suggestions for some good 'lite' reading-- nothing heavy. Looking for a variety-- perhaps a light romance (not R-rated), science fiction-- even non fiction. Basically a fun easy read. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Tanaqui
Recently read American Gods, which I hadn't read before. That's a good one. Still really enjoying The Golem and the Jinni, which I read last year. Read Garden of Iden (note spelling!), and am likely to read more in the series. Kareni
Science fiction -- Andy Weir's The Martian is fun as both a book or as an audiobook. It starts off with some language but does not continue in that vein. This one might fit your light romance category -- The Rosie Project: A Novel by Graeme Simsion A historical romance: The Spymaster's Lady by Joanna Bourne. (Some adult content) Some non-fiction suggestions: my favorite Bill Bryson work ~ The Mother Tongue - English And How It Got That Way Quirkology: How We Discover the Big Truths in Small Things by Richard Wiseman Enjoy your trip!
