Night Elf
I'm supposed to be fasting tonight because I have bloodwork labs to do in the morning, in 6 hours actually. I totally forgot and took about 3 little sips of a chocolate milk, and one small bite of a cracker. Just a nibble really. I'm thinking I had so little it won't matter, but I need this lab work for health forms I must turn into DH's company. I don't want my numbers to look bad. I'm also getting an A1C for my own reason. Should I wait until Thursday morning to do the lab work, or do you think I'll be okay this morning?
Jean in Newcastle
It should not affect your A1C since that measures your averages for the last 3 months. It should be ok too for a fasting blood sugar. While they normally say 8 hours fasting, 6 hours is the very smallest fasting window you can have. I have found I need to put a note on the fridge as well as the water faucets, or else it's easy for me to mess up.
Lizzie in Ma
It should be fine, not to fret.
