happi duck
We haven't watched yet, but have heard good things about the one with Patrick Stewart. It's free on the Great Performances website: http://www.pbs.org/wnet/gperf/episodes/macbeth/watch-the-full-program/1030/
Angel
I have been leading a Shakespeare study all year, and we did Macbeth in October. We watched the Patrick Stewart's version since I love his acting. That particular Macbeth was creepy!! The Wicked Sisters were beyond creepy! The group was split about whether or not we liked it. We were able to catch Macbeth at our local Shakespeare Theater Company and it was amazing. I would look around and see if there is somewhere that might be playing on stage. I swear I am not being snarky, and I don't have a dog in this race. I do happen to be teaching Macbeth to my Rhetoric and Composition class now. Aren't the Witches and Macbeth *supposed* to be creepy?

We watched this a couple of weeks ago and, yes, they were incredibly creepy. My 11yo loved it! :) It's the version we plan to try and buy, since we don't currently have a copy of that play. Setting it in the Cold War with Macbeth as basically Stalin was very interesting and the sleepwalking scene with Lady Macbeth was brilliant. Lizzie in Ma
I do adore Patrick Stewart and that version was certainly an interesting take on it but I didn't really "like" it much. Then again, Macbeth isn't a "likeable" play is it? Here is a list of all the available versions. Here is a link to the banquet scene when our homeschool Shakespeare class did Macbeth this winter. My dd is the redhead playing Lady Macbeth. I was really proud of how well they did. It was a rehearsal so there is a little joking in it. I talk to the trees
I love Patrick Stewart, and his acting in Macbeth is fantastic, as usual. But that production was far, far to graphic for me. It's supposed to be scary, but when it gets as graphic as some of the scenes with the witches do, it stops being scary and starts being disgusting. Ian Mckellen's Macbeth is wonderful, too.
