Writerdaddy
It doesn't have to be free, just need it electronic and printable. I am in a remote location and can't order books. My just turned 8 year olds know a little cursive but I would start them at the beginning anyway, grade 2. I like the Universal books recommended on another thread today but they are made of matter, as far as I can tell. thanks! Alan
MomatHWTK
For downloadable content in general, try Currclick.com. The Happy Scribe materials might work for you if you are willing to teach the actual steps of the letter formation yourself.
tuckabella
I am going to purchase Teach Me Joy's cursive for the fall. It is cheaper on their website than on Currclick's website. Others on here have used it though, I just haven't yet.
nansk
Take a look at Getty-Dubay Italics. If you like this handwriting style, two options to consider are: Penny Gardner's Italics - Beautiful Handwriting for Children - this is a printable handwriting manual with copywork. and/or StartWrite software to make your own handwriting and copywork sheets. I posted more links in these threads: Handwriting links Italic copywork links
CrunchyGirl
Not sure if you can download it (I just got the CD) but StarWrite is really cool.
Hunter
I just found these http://www.aquariancharterschool.com/technologypdfs/ABC%20Cursive.pdf Spalding http://americanacademyk8.org/aastaffhome/users/kbaker/downloads/spaldingcursivepractice.pdf http://www.mychandlerschools.org/Page/10268
Vida Winter
I am going to purchase Teach Me Joy's cursive for the fall. It is cheaper on their website than on Currclick's website. Others on here have used it though, I just haven't yet. We just started this (ordered directly from their website). The lessons are nice and short, and I like the hollow font to make it easy to form letters. Pencil-phobic dd7 has done pretty well with the first few lessons. I don't know what else is out there really though.

asmall
Donna Young has a homeschool website with free printable cursive sheets. There are different options to choose from. http://donnayoung.org/penmanship/big-cursive.htm These are the ones my girls really liked, and they are free. All you have to do is print them off. Aurelia
We're using Teach Me Joy's cursive from Currclick. Ariel is a little over halfway through and is really enjoying it. It teaches much better than the original program I purchased.
nansk
I just remembered - back when I hadn't found Getty-Dubay Italics, I was looking for cursive practice sheets online and I found the ones from kidzone.ws to be among the better free ones.
