Mama2Three
I'm assuming that the "a" in Caddie is a short a, right? Or did I read the whole book to my DC with the wrong pronounciation? :tongue_smilie: DD wants to be Caddie for Halloween and I want to make sure that we have it right. nukeswife
We haven't read the book yet, but every time I see it I read it as a long a sound like Kay-dee
Ellyndria
I have no idea. I've always pronounced it with a short a sound.

Word Nerd
It never even occurred to me that it might be pronounced any other way than phonetically (with a short a). Edited October 17, 2010 by WordGirl
Teachaheart
The short a is phonetically correct.
