lauracolumbus
I won a $20 gift card from an Usborne consultant at a homeschooling get together today. I have enough world history resources, but do you have any other suggestions on what I should buy? Thanks, Laura
Mom0012
I don't know the ages of your children, but my son absolutely LOVED See Inside Ancient Rome, See Inside Ancient Egypt and See Inside Castles. He also loves The Knight's Handbook. Lisa
lauracolumbus
I forgot to post the ages of my kids. I also haven't figured out yet how to put things in the siggy line. DS almost 11 SOTW 4, Saxon 7/6, CW, Van Cleave, SW, LCII, MUS Zeta, Story of the Orchestra, plus lots of other odds and ends DD9 same sources, one grade lower DD5, MP copybook, MUS Alpha, SW A, FLL Maybe something really good in the art/music or science world. These are my weak areas. Thanks, Laura
plain jane
If you're looking for art books, I highly recommend these 3: The Usborne Complete Book of Art Ideas This book is three complete books in one: The Usborne Book of Art Ideas, The Usborne Book of Art Skills, and the Usborne Book of Art Projects. It's a fantastic book! Art Treasury The Usborne version of "Discovering Great Artists" Shows an example of a famous artist's work, then gives an activity for the children to make their own. Usborne Book of Art A nice introduction to art appreciation. I don't have any experience with their science books so I can't make any recommendations on those.
