Liza Q
Cursive has never been a priority for us. My husband (and father and brothers!) and older daughters print everything. I did teach my girls cursive so they would be able to read it (and they can - mostly mine!). But I can see that it is well past time to teach my next two, who are heading into 4th and 6th grade next year. Any suggestions? I used a book from SSRW for my daughters but I don't think that they make it anymore..... TIA!

BlessedMom
You might try "Cursive First", I really like her approach to teaching cursive. http://www.swrtraining.com/id17.html It is inexpensive, it isn't a workbook format, and you are able to copy the pages as needed so you can go at whatever pace fits your children. It is fairly straight forward without any frills which might appeal to older children. Hope this is helpful.

home4school
I looked at Cursive Connections at the Rainbow booth over the weekend and think we may use that. There's a Book A and a Book B and they have samples on their site. http://http://www.rainbowresource.com/prodlist.php?sid=1241535098-2033141&subject=9&category=2046 I have two boys and we used HWT this year, but they still need more work, especially how to connect letters. This book shows at the top of each page the right way and wrong way of making letters. The first book in the series deals with letters, letter connections and simple words, and by the second book students have worked up to longer words and phrases. hferguson10
Thanks for this - we have been needing some remedial work in cursive as well, but trying to find something my older kids won't poo poo has been a bit tough. Appreciate it!
KathyBC
HWT has books for older students. http://shopping.hwtears.com/product/Can-Do_Cursive/workbooks-guides My oldest asked for a refresher course in cursive and is working his way through this book. It fills the bill nicely.
