stripe
I purchased a world map, already laminated, intending to hang it on the wall. I am not entirely sure what a good way to do it is, that will not damage the map. It is fairly large (much larger than, say, a placemat), but not gigantic. I do not currently have a giant corkboard I could creatively poke push pins around to hold it up without making holes in the map. I also don't particularly want to use that bubblegum type substance as it always seems to leave things greasy. Suggestions? Thank you. I punched a hole in each of the top two corners, reinforced them with clear plastic (as you would use on notebook paper) and hung over a picture hook (one per corner). It has worked quite well. nukeswife
3M poster strips, you can find them at walmart, target etc. They keep the things up but won't mar the walls when/if you want to take it down
Harriet Vane
I use blue painter's tape. It's strong enough to hold large posters on the wall, but peels off nicely (without taking any paint with it!), and it doesn't leave any greasy spots. ~Tara~
Ditto the poster strips!! I had two maps hanging on our slanted ceiling upstairs, just recently took them down..not a problem, even on flat paint. :) I was quite impressed. They held well and no marring...to the wall NOR the maps.
Tree House Academy
I use a stapler. It makes teeny tiny holes in both the wall and the piece I am hanging.
