Wonton cup appetizers. They are really quite easy but delicious. I usually add some color of peppers to this recipe.

I 2nd the cream cheese chocolate chip cheese ball. I served them at our daughters rehearsal dinner party we had inour back yard. Everyone loved them. I served several flavors of graham sticks..a tad more elegant than the teddy grahams. Not as cute tho!

Heat sauce and pour sauce over cream cheese. Serve w/triscuits, wheat thins or your favorite snack cracker.

This sounds great, but where do I find raspberry chipotle sauce?

I second the chocolate cheeseball! I've made it several times & people always love it.

Another recipe is black bean salsa served with tortilla chips. It is pretty and soooo delicious that I can eat bowls of it without the chips!

Yum! I make something similiar - we call it black bean salad.

1 can black beans, drained & rinsed

1 tomato, diced

1 pepper (orange is pretty, green is cheaper), diced

1 can shoepeg corn

1/2 onion, diced (I use sweet yellow.)

1 avacado, diced

juice of one lime

You can serve with tortilla chips. My husband likes it topped with shredded cheese & sour cream, but it is tasty just as it is. It is great the second day, but we rarely have any left!

Pimiento cheese spread is a southern staple, usually served with crackers or celery, (or made into sandwiches on white bread, no crusts, LOL.)

8 oz of New York state extra sharp cheese (or other sharp cheddar)

grated finely with a hand-turn grater

4 oz jar of diced pimiento (drained)

approximately 1 cup mayo (not Miracle Whip) Add this a little at a

time until you get a creamy consistency.

black pepper---lots (this is your "secret ingredient") Start with 1/4

tsp & then add from there. Go for "perky", not "peppery."

You can add more cheese if you like it cheesier with less pimiento. You just need more mayo to compensate.

If you buy the store-made spread, it will be sweeter. The authentic southern recipe is not sweet at all. YUMMY!:001_smile:

Yummy!

I had heard of pimento cheese & always wanted to try it.

Well, I got my chance when I recently went to a funeral in GA. It was one woman's "specialty" and boy was it good! Cheesy, creamy, yummy with the tang of pimento.

Did I say yummy?
