Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

dh is joking around with me on facebook, can someone tell me how to write

"never start a land-war in Asia" in Latin? somehow he came up with "homeschool rules" in Latin, so this is my comeback.

thanks all you Latin-mom gurus.

OK. As long as this is just for fun. I state up front I do not know Latin, I found a site that translates English to Latin. Any academics would probably notice errors but....here it is.

Nunquam satus a terra bellum in Asia

Don't ask me what the words mean. The only one I know for sure is terra. And Asia of course. :D

My teen suggests:

non ingrediatur bellum-terrae in Asia

She says this translates literally to: One should not start a war of the land in Asia.

Regards,

Kareni

Ne moveas bellum in Asia.

Do not stir up a war in Asia, literally.
