Fran51
Should I invest in a practice test for the ITBS (grade 4, first test)? Do you spend much time prepping? If so, what would you recommend doing? Thanks in advance.
Tracey in TX
We just began IBST on Monday. It's the first standardized test my 4th graders have taken. One had a meltdown from the pressure. The other two could've cared less. I would encourage a practice test only if you think DC will freak out. Otherwise, don't do the pre-test as it might actually make DC worried. Ferdie
We did test prep for 5th grade. Here is a link where I gave my 2 cents: http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72898

Stacia
We used the Spectrum Test Prep book. We just did a little bit every day (about 10 or 15 minutes). We kept it low-key. I think it helps give a child the familiarity w/ the style of the test, the way questions are worded, etc....
Fran51
Thanks! I'll go ahead & order the Spectrum book.
