BryRon
Has anyone ever tried to utilize an online course for ASL? My dd would like to continue learning sign language, but the websites that I have seen aren't that great. I am looking into the Community Colleges around here, but if I could find a really good website, I'd be happy. Thanks!
vettechmomof2
http://www.lessontutor.com/ASLgenhome.html We have used this one to generate some worksheets and so forth , it is adequate. http://commtechlab.msu.edu/sites/aslweb/syntax.html We have used this one to look up certain words but maybe one of the classes they talk about is what you are looking for. Beware though, they have MANY words that are not appropriate/however you want to look at that for younger children. Good luck.
Rosie_0801
I've never seen anything online that was meant to be a full course. They're mostly snippits, or online dictionaries. I think Bravo! ASL is probably the best video course, but it's horribly expensive so if I was going to teach my kids ASL I'd buy the Rocket Languages series http://www.rocketlanguages.com/sign-language/ and try to pursuade my local library to invest in Bravo! ASL. Rosie
Doodle
Have you looked at the lessons on LifePrint yet? http://www.lifeprint.com/asl101/lessons/lessons.htm

In the state I used to live in, sign language was only available as a non credit class. I took ASL 1 and 2 as non-credit. Where I am currently located, sign language is offered for credit classes and I was able to enroll in ASL 3 and 4 after a placement interview with the advisor.
