Liz CA
Picture 5 rather large windows high up - inaccessible without ladder. During the hot summer here, we get roasted between 4-6pm because these windows face southwest. What kind of covering could I install that would let us still see through it, let light in, but keep the heat at bay? Are there sheers that can do this? Blinds? How can you control them - open and close - from below?
joannqn
I don't know what would be a good choice for covering them but I do know that they make really long rods and cords for opening blinds and curtains that are very high up like that. newbie
Blinds w/remote control. Also, they have coatings that keep sun out.
Ria
UV film. In our old house we hired someone to come out and install it on our skylights. It made all the difference in the world...we still got light, but no heat. Ria
