ELaurie
from Chicago. Should we fly into Richmond, Norfolk, or Newport News-Williamsburg? ( I lived there many years ago, and don't recall a Newport News Williamsburg Airport :confused1:)
Susan Wise Bauer
Richmond will give you the most options and isn't that much further away than the Newport News/Williamsburg airport, which is two runways and a coffee counter. NOT NORFOLK. Shudder. Like JFK without the charm. And then you have to drive through the tunnel to get to W'burg. SWB
ELaurie
SWB! :auto:
Denise in IN
Thanks for the info (and thanks for asking, Laurie)! I was wondering the same thing, as I'm pondering whether I can work this out. :001_smile:

NN-Wmsbg Airport used to be called Patrick Henry Airport.
Brigitte
Yes, Richmond. You can add a trip to Charlottesville (Monticello, Ashlawn, Montpelier, UVA, and some wineries) either before or after the conference in Williamsburg without adding too much extra driving time if you fly in and out of RIC. Great suggestions! We may visit a cousin in DC after the conference; if we do that then Richmond probably makes the most sense.
