KidsHappen
I am looking for the best I can get in the $200-300 dollar range. It has to work for high school labs and withstand use by about four children. TIA
Miss Marple
We got a fantastic deal on e-bay. Our scope is an older, medical laboratory model. I wanted binocular, oil immersion, and Zeiss lenses. I was able to get all that for just under $200. The 'dealer' was a medical equipment clearing house so they knew what they were dealing with. April in CA
Good Morning! I bought a microscope from Sonlight when we started homeschooling several years ago. It has held up to lots of use as well as a couple of years of storage in the den. I love it! Whatever you get, try ot get a scope with a mechanical stage - it makes scanning slides SO much easier. We are borrowing another scope from a friend to do labs with three freshman boys (they share the 2 scopes) - the borrowed scope doesn't have a mechanical stage, and it is a pain to scan the specimens. Hope this helps, Blessings, April
laughing lioness
:iagree:with the Sonlight recommendation. We've had ours for years, used it 2 years in a co-op group and it is still in great shape.

Another vote for the Sonlight microscope. We love it.
