astrid
Anyone know of any? Dd was given this book for Christmas and is really LOVING it, so even though it's not in my curriculum map this year, I thought I"d try and pull some materials together for it. Any ideas? Danke! newbie
My dd just finished up w/her school. She absolutely hated the book. But, we watched the Disney movie and she loved that. Dont know how you feel about movies, but it gave a nice lil twist.
astrid
Don't know how I feel about movies? Bring 'em on, sister! :001_smile: Thanks for the tip--- you mean the older Disney version, right? Or has it been remade? Thanks! Astrid
In The Great White North
We liked the old version.
JWSJ
My dd just finished up w/her school. She absolutely hated the book. There are different versions of the book. Editors have lowered the reading level and hacked the story making the material less than what it once was. Some are unbelieveably bad. If she didn't like the school's version try a different one. She might be surprised.
astrid
Yes, I agree. Molly's reading the original Johann Wyss edition and is fascinated. Astrid
Beach Mom
which we finished earlier this year when DD read the book. It had some fun activities including cooking, craft projects such as soap carving and other ideas. We enjoyed it.
