Princess5
We are looking for a dining room table set which would not be too expensive. Was looking at Costco but the reviews are mixed. Where do you get a decent quality dining room furniture..
Katy
I’d watch estate sales. The last time I went to one in a large McMansion, they had multiple dining sets for sale for half off the last day. There was a large Ethan Allen reproduction chippendale set that looked very similarly to the dining room set in Home Alone for $250. I think it had enough chairs and extensions to seat 12. I know brown is currently out, but some of the interior designers I follow on social media have been saying 90’s moody paint colors (but slightly muddier than true jewel tones) and dark wood classic furniture are going to be the next trend. If you want more trendy than classic & have a budget for it, Arhous, RH & Pottery Barn seem the be the trendy ones these days. People seem to like white oak with a whitewash or graywash.
EmilyGF
We bought one off Craigslist. I watched for a few weeks so I knew the going prices. I wanted eight chairs, so that eliminated most sets. We liked the first set we went to see and are very happy with it. We've had it two or three years. Ours is a sort of upscale-farmhouse look in dark wood. It has an extension and can seat 12. Emily
