Carol in Cal.
The title is the question. Does anybody know?
Catwoman
@Carol in Cal. -- Just giving this a bump in case someone knows the answer to your question. 🙂 I think the best thing you can do is ask a liver specialist, but don't be surprised if he or she tells you to avoid most OTC supplements just to be on the safe side. This isn't a detox kind of thing, though, so it might be ok. I just looked it up and it doesn't seem like anything that could be harmful, but that's assuming the ingredients in the jar are actually the same as the ingredients on the label. And let's face it, I'm not a doctor, so I could easily be missing something. If I had fatty liver disease, I don't think I'd take a chance on them without getting a go-ahead from my doctor, and I'd want to be sure to schedule regular bloodwork to make sure I wasn't having any negative side effects.
Carol in Cal.
I’ve been referred to a liver specialist, but it’s all remote stuff, no actual consultation. They signed me up for an ultrasound and a video class (which I suspect will be pretty generic). There is no opportunity to meet with anyone. You’re just supposed to receive the wisdom as summarized, and do what they say. SO not my style, so once I finish jumping through their hoops I’m definitely going to find someone to talk with. I won’t start the provitalize until I do though, I guess.
annandatje
My liver doctor advised against all supplements and alternative treatments such as coffee enema (yes, that’s really a thing).
