Ireland is on my bucket list so maybe I should plan a visit that includes the summer solstice. I do remember from a long ago visit to the UK that even in southeast England it stayed light until 10 or 10:30 in June.

Iceland would be amazing!

I would LOVE to celebrate the summer solstice in Ireland! In my head, I have these very romantic notions. 😁

Tell that to the one million mosquitoes I donated blood to last summer in northern Finland.......

Finland is technically not Scandinavia, rather it's one of the Nordic countries. I think that many would argue that because there are a ton of Swedes there and it was at one time under Swedish rule, that it should be part of Scandinavia, I've been told that it isn't.

I've been to Finland, and I don't remember being attacked by mosquitoes in the sauna. That's a great place to spend the summer solstice! 😅
