Calizzy
I'm trying to find a good fit for math for my 7th grader next year. We have been on a journey with math- so many tears and different curriculum and she has really thrived this year with The Good and the Beautiful. The reasons we like it are: The short (under 10 min) instruction video, the colorful engaging workbook, the limited number of problems, and some review but not a ton. I am so sad that we have finished the 6th grade book and they do not offer higher levels. I am dreading going back to the tears and frustration. Any suggestions on what could be a good fit for next year?
Nm.
Since it’s been a long haul already- what about mathusee?

The videos look helpful. What do you mean "Since it's been a long haul already?" Is mathusee known to be good for kids who have struggled? Nm.
Yes, it’s great for any child, but especially if they’ve struggled and/or parents struggled to teach. I said long haul because it sounded like she’s struggled with math, and you’ve struggled to find a good fit.
Janeway
BJU. Also, TGTB math is tough. Even my mathy kids struggled. She might do great and prove to be “mathy.”
Calizzy
@Janeway Have you used BJU? I like the look of the curriculum but reviews said there wasn't enough explanation.

I have used it, but I have a degree in math so I am unsure if the explanations would be good for someone who is not a math lover.
