happynurse
My upcoming 5th grader used Saxon 5/4 last year for 4th grade. However, we only got to around lesson 105 or so before we closed the books and called it summer. 🙂 We are starting school next week and I'm trying to decide if I should go back and finish 5/4 or just go ahead and start 6/5. From what I can tell, it looks like the material we didn't get to in 5/4 is covered in 6/5, but it is ordered slightly differently. Does anyone have experience or advice on which course of action to take? I like that 6/5 would start gently, whereas picking 5/4 up where we left off puts him in a more challenging spot in the book, so there would be no extra scaffolding there (which he would appreciate after summer break!) I'd love to hear your advice. Thank you! BTW: He's a fairly good math student but doesn't enjoy it (any programs we've tried) and definitely has ADHD.

happynurse
Well I guess that answers that! 😄 I'll just leave 5/4 and the mom guilt behind.
