madteaparty
I’m pretty rusty myself and want to learn alongside DD; she needs it for a project. Any tutorials? We would need to embed photos and the like.
Clarita
For her I would suggest to just start using power point to make her project presentation. As she has questions say "How to embed photos?" then, search in you tube for a tutorial on how to do that. Unless you are "I don't even know how to write text," the tutorials are pretty boring. Any power point/excel/software class I've taken have been pretty boring. I also think power point itself has a tutorial in there some where (look in help). 1
lmrich
Is she using Powerpoint or Google Slides? Either way there are tons of free tutorials. I taught a class this year that included an intro to Slides. Most kids feel comfortable to try and play with things and learn through experimentation. They figured out how to add photos and even videos from their phones on their own. However, they do need help with design elements - brown and purple are not a good color combination or yellow text is hard to read. There are websites that also help with picking colors. One design tip that my class observed was that a text box often needs a border to make it stand out and look crisp. And less words are better than more.

We will probably use Google slides now you mention it as it’s a group project and other kids don’t have PPT. any tutorials you particularly recommend?
