matrips
My nephew sounds like my son, very quick with math and enjoys it a lot, but I have given away all our old math books that my ds loved so much and I can’t remember them. I’m not talking about math workbooks/school stuff, but the books that make math and knowing math fun. Anyone in this phase that can give me recommendations? I already give Mathmania to his older sister. I need something for him. He does not like to read, but if it was math related, maybe he would? Lori D.
Just a thought -- maybe he might enjoy a board/card game that involves math? Or a "math magic" type of book? Familia
Usborne's Illustrated Dictionary of Math will certainly grow with him. It fueled our son's math passion at that age and beyond: https://www.amazon.com/Usborne-Illustrated-Dictionary-Math-Dictionaries/dp/0794516297/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=usborne+dictionary+of+math&qid=1587420672&sr=8-2 Penny Press's variety puzzle books were also big hits. Containing unusually refreshing puzzles at many age ranges, they also contain word puzzles. Also a grow-with-them resource: https://www.amazon.com/Family-Favorites-Variety-Volumes-Pack/dp/B07B419CYY/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=penny+puzzle+books&qid=1587420955&sr=8-1
