dirty ethel rackham
My kids fell in love with the waffle makers at the hotel when we were on vacation. So, I thought "Santa" could bring this gift to our family? Anyone have a good one that they really like? Looking to spend under $100. nukeswife
I bought this one about a year ago Cuisinart waffle maker I bought it after searching for one like the flip halfway through cooking ones we'd used when on vacation. The ones like the hotel had were about $89.99 at the time and all the reviews I read were just so-so. I went to my local bed bath and beyond store and the employee there said that many people bought the $29.99 cuisinart one and he'd never seen one brought back. I thought, "for $30 I'll give it a try" It works like a champ and I have never made a bad waffle with it. I now make them in large batches and freeze them, no more Eggo's in this house. Amy in TX
I have this one: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11044897 Perfect waffles every time; I love it!
Amy in TX
Wow, I just looked at the reviews of this product on the Costco website. Seems it has failed for many people. But I've had mine for over two years without any problems, and I really do love it.
Gwen in TX
We have had this fantastic model for four years. http://www.amazon.com/Proctor-Silex-26050-Family-Belgian-Waffle/dp/B00005MFQD/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1227978594&sr=1-4 The waffles are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. I have never had a bad waffle from this iron. I bought it about 4 years ago from Target for about $25. It is easy to keep clean (non-stick surface is great). When I make waffles, I make enough to freeze too. No more Eggo's for us.
katilac
We have the Hamilton Beach Waffle Stix Maker; paid about $30 for it a couple of years ago, perfectly happy with it. It makes the sticks for dipping, rather than a big waffle, which my kids love (it makes two waffles at a time, that are 'perforated' into 3 sticks each - does that make sense? and you just use the spatula to nudge them apart). kewb
This thread is timely. My kids have been begging me to get a waffle iron.
