Berean Builders Science in the Beginning for 2nd grade

I've read some reviews where some say Berean Builders Science in the Beginning is appropriate for early elementary and others recommend it for late elementary to jr. high.  Their website says K-6, so I'm wondering if anyone has successfully (or unsuccessfully) used in in 2nd grade.  I definitely do not want it to be over their heads.

I've successfully used it for 4th grade and am planning to use it next year for 3rd grade. 2nd grade might be a little bit too young, but not by much.

I used it for 1st, 4th, and 6th. It was probably best for the 4th grader, but the 1st grader did learn from it. I'd say it's okay for a 2nd grader to tag along with older siblings, but it'd be better to wait if the oldest is 2nd grade.
