May
I’m making chicken noodle soup for a friend. I’m bringing it over at 1pm. It’s meant for dinner. I’m thinking I should just bring the uncook bag of noodles and let her or DH cook them and then add. What says the hive?
cintinative
That's usually what I do. I guess it is presuming the dh knows how to heat something to a simmer and add noodles. 😃 So if you have heard otherwise, you could cook them in the soup. We use gluten-free pasta here so leaving them in the soup usually means they will absorb too much liquid.

The couple married a little later in life, mid 30’s, so I’m thinking DH can at least boil water? It’s their first baby and I’m so happy for them😊
KungFuPanda
I'd cook the noodles about a minute underdone and bring them in a separate container.
KatieJ
My hubby would not know what to do with those noodles. I would cook them ahead of time and tell him layer them or add when reheating. however, I always just cook them with the soup.
